Director Promotions
Chartis’ two new Directors span the Performance and Strategy practices.
Mark Krivopal, MD is a Director in the Performance practice.
Mark is a senior physician executive with 25 years of healthcare experience in AMCs, complex IDNs, independent community hospitals, and a healthcare information technology start-up. Most recently, he’s focused on enterprise financial and operational performance improvement; innovative operating care models and clinical service line redesign; and acute care capacity and throughput optimization. Mark also serves as the clinical leader in Chartis Digital, leading Chartis’ work with clients in operationalizing digital clinical transformations such as Hospital at Home care model deployment.
Brett Pederson is a Director in the Strategy practice.
Brett is a leader in the firm’s Partnership/M&A and Strategy practices. He has 15 years of experience in strategic and financial healthcare consulting and has led engagements in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, enterprise strategy, innovative partnership, physician and faculty enterprise design, health sciences program strategy, new business design, and capital planning for leading AMCs, children’s hospitals, IDNs, and multi-specialty group practices.
Principal Promotions
Chartis' four new Principals represent the Strategy and Revenue Cycle practices, as well as Chartis’ Talent team.
Mark Bourdenko is a Principal in the Strategy practice.
Mark has served leading academic health systems, community health systems, children’s hospitals, payers, and private equity investors across a range of strategic planning initiatives. His primary areas of focus are value-based payment and delivery models, partnerships, clinical service line planning, and health equity.
Rosa Bowling is a Principal in the Revenue Cycle practice.
Rosa is a highly experienced revenue cycle professional with over 35 years of experience in healthcare management, revenue cycle operations, and patient financial services in academic, acute care, critical access, and clinic environments. Prior to joining Chartis, Rosa was Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Compliance Officer of a physician-led healthcare organization. Rosa has also served organizations in roles as Director of Patient Financial Services, Director of Reimbursement, and Director of Revenue Cycle Operations.
Vishal Patel is a Principal in the Revenue Cycle practice.
Vishal has more than 11 years of experience working closely with leading national and regional health systems and AMCs helping to redesign key revenue cycle processes from an operational and technical perspective to drive net revenue improvements. He has consulted in the areas of clinical and operational performance improvement, operational readiness for system implementations, and vendor selection and management.
Joel Richard is Vice President of Talent Acquisition.
Joel has more than 15 years of talent and recruitment experience with a focus on establishing teams that drive strategic and impactful results. In his expanded role, he will continue to work with leaders across the firm to build the foundation for a world-class talent acquisition function that attracts the best talent in the industry to support Chartis and its mission.
