Chartis announces eight leader promotions

The healthcare transformation firm promotes two leaders to senior partner and six new partners across the Chartis family of companies.

Chartis, a leading healthcare advisory firm, today announced the promotion of eight leaders, effective July 1. 

“I’m excited to recognize this exceptional group of leaders and am particularly proud to welcome six individuals to the partnership,” said Chartis President Greg Maddrey. “Their purpose-driven leadership, commitment to teaming and collaboration, and deep industry specialization enable us to deliver transformational results for our clients and reshape healthcare for the better.” 

Senior Partners 

Tom O’Toole has been promoted to Strategic Transformation Senior Partner. He works primarily with private investment firms, healthcare technology and tech-enabled services companies, integrated delivery networks, academic health systems, and other multi-site ambulatory providers. He specializes in transaction diligence and execution; enterprise strategic and growth planning; affiliations and partnerships; value-based care strategies; and clinical ambulatory network and service line strategy development. Most recently he has led private equity advisory engagements focused on healthcare IT and revenue cycle management, and he also leads the firm’s Ambulatory Surgery Center Services team. 

Amy Woodrum has been promoted to Strategic Transformation Senior Partner. She has more than 12 years of experience advising academic health systems, community hospitals, integrated delivery networks, and children’s hospitals on service line planning, ambulatory network development, enterprise strategy, and physician alignment. A strong developer of internal talent, she also leads strategic planning engagements for leading academic medical centers and regional health systems; has conducted service line plans for academic, community, and tribal health systems; and facilitates partnership development between industry-leading academic and community health systems. Most recently, she has supported strategic diligence for health system acquisitions, including acute care facilities, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, and other ambulatory assets. 

Partners 

Letitia Fecher has been promoted to Partner at Jarrard, a Chartis company specializing in healthcare communications and change management. With two decades of healthcare marketing and strategic communications experience, she specializes in serving publicly owned and community health systems, many of which are rural. In her 11 years with Jarrard, Fecher has played key roles in steering clients through complex partnerships, mergers, and integration; launching physician, employee, and community engagement initiatives; spearheading public perception campaigns; and creating branding and image strategies. She’s a strong champion of people, serving as an internal role model for rising leaders. 

Jonathan Liu has been promoted to Clinical Transformation Partner. With more than 15 years of healthcare consulting experience, he specializes in consumer access, care model transformation, referral management, service center planning, and provider capacity management. Excelling at complex project management, his recent engagements include optimizing provider scheduling templates for a large academic medical center, redesigning the care team model for a leading cancer center, and developing an advanced service center model for an investor-backed healthcare company. 

Andy Murphy has been promoted to Financial Transformation Partner. He has 14 years of experience in supply and purchased service cost reduction, supply chain structure and process design/improvement, strategic sourcing, clinical and non-clinical product/service conversions, value analysis, inventory management, and data governance. Murphy has led dozens of performance improvement engagements that reduce clients’ annual non-labor expenses by millions or tens of millions of dollars, while maintaining or improving service levels and efficiency.  

Neil Precilio has been promoted to Partner at HealthScape Advisors, a Chartis company focused on payer transformation. Precilio leads strategic and operational engagements with a focus on health plan operating model design and development, business transformation, product and go-to-market strategy, performance improvement, and strategic partnerships. A highly sought after people leader internally, he also co-leads HealthScape’s Medicare Center of Excellence and oversees engagements, enabling plans to grow, perform, and transform in the Medicare Advantage market. 

Laura Stearns has been promoted to Partner and Senior Vice President of Talent Experience. She brings 19 years of experience in strategy, operations, and change management in professional services environments. With a strong strategic orientation and organizational agility, Stearns is responsible for enterprise-wide staffing, performance management, learning and development, colleague engagement initiatives, and talent operations, including colleague relations, onboarding and offboarding, compensation and benefits, people systems and analytics, and compliance.  

Nick Ziemba has been promoted to Strategic Transformation Partner. In his 10 years with Chartis, he has maintained a client-centric focus, helping provider organizations tackle significant challenges to their strategic positioning, financial sustainability, and clinical and academic missions more broadly. In his recent work with academic and community health systems, his advisory efforts have focused on medical school and medical group partnerships; merger exploration, integration planning and implementation; new hospital planning assessments; academic alignment and funds flow redesign; and service line initiatives.
