
Jonathan Liu is a Partner at Chartis. He brings over 15 years of experience leading healthcare clients through successful change while driving meaningful operational and financial performance improvement. His areas of expertise include consumer access, care model transformation, referral management, service center planning, and provider capacity management.
His recent engagements have focused on redesigning scheduling workflows, optimizing EHRs and deploying technology enablers to drive meaningful improvements in ambulatory access and front-end revenue cycle. This encompassed implementing decision trees/scheduling algorithms and optimizing provider scheduling templates to accurately reflect provider clinic capacity and enable a more seamless scheduling experience for patients. During the engagements, he facilitated multiple in person and virtual design workgroups that included physicians, APPs, operational leaders and IT builders/analysts to collaboratively design, build and go-live with new decision trees, templates, and work queues. Representative clients include Stanford Cancer Institute, UPMC, MD Anderson Cancer Center, PT Solutions, Aspirus Health, and Children’s Health System of Texas.
Prior to joining Chartis, he was a manager at Huron Consulting Group where he led patient access optimization projects at large academic medical centers.
Jonathan received his Master of Health Sciences in healthcare finance and management from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Johns Hopkins University. He completed his healthcare administrative fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Health System.
