Chartis, a leading healthcare advisory firm, today announced David Church and Ali Paasimaa have joined the partnership to spearhead strategic transformation and advanced AI solution development, respectively.

David Church joins as a Strategic Transformation Senior Partner with more than 25 years of experience helping academic health centers, medical schools, universities, and health systems navigate complex strategic, operational, and financial challenges. Focused on helping clients align strategy with operational excellence to achieve competitive distinction and enhanced margins, Church has partnered with executive leadership teams to design and implement mission-driven strategies, new governance and operating models and faculty performance initiatives. He also has been integral to the planning, launch, and accreditation of new medical and health-related schools and programs. Prior to joining Chartis, Church was a Partner in PwC’s Health Industries practice and held director and manager roles at Huron Group, Navigant Consulting, and CSC Healthcare. He also led the business planning office at NYU’s School of Medicine.

Ali Paasimaa joins as a Senior Partner and Head of the Chartis Leap AI Studio. He brings more than 25 years of technology and business leadership experience from startups to Fortune 100 companies. Paasimaa specializes in generative AI product development and companywide technology strategy and operating model transformations, helping clients build modern AI engineering capabilities and agentic solutions to stay ahead of rapid AI change and shape what comes next. Before founding Leap AI, a generative AI venture studio, Paasimaa served as US CEO & Chair and Group EVP of Corporate Strategy at Reaktor and Managing Director at PwC Advisory, and he held leadership roles at EY Private Equity and Accenture Strategy. Prior to his strategy and venturing career, he led forward deployed engineering of a Silicon Valley startup (acquired by IBM) and built more than 50 production implementations.
