Chartis, a comprehensive healthcare advisory firm, announced the appointment of Shannon Brownell to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. As COO, Brownell will assume primary responsibility for accelerating Chartis’ operational performance and leading the execution of the firm’s growth strategy, in collaboration with leaders from across the firm.
“Shannon is uniquely qualified to serve as our first COO given her exceptional demonstrated capabilities, her deep understanding of the firm, and the leadership impact she has had in her ten years as the firm’s Chief Talent Officer,” said Chartis Chief Executive Officer Ken Graboys.
Before joining Chartis, Brownell served as Director of Talent Management for McKinsey & Company, overseeing talent initiatives for 8,500 professional staff in 100 offices worldwide. Prior to that, she managed McKinsey’s North American Retail Practice.
Brownell earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where she was named a Wallman Scholar. She received her Bachelor’s degree in business administration with highest honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
