Today, The Chartis Group, a leading provider of comprehensive advisory services and analytics to the healthcare industry, announced that Keith Lukasik has rejoined the firm as a Principal in the Private Equity Advisory practice

“We are thrilled to welcome Keith back as a Principal in the Private Equity Advisory Practice,” said Eric Mayeda, Director and Private Equity Advisory Practice Leader, The Chartis Group. “From partnerships, M&A, enterprise turnarounds, and leading transformational integration strategies, his deep industry expertise and keen analytical approach will serve clients well in achieving innovative, yet actionable, strategic growth plans for long-term profitability and sustainability.”

Lukasik has over 15 years of healthcare strategy experience, most recently serving as Chief Strategy Officer for Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) in Buffalo, NY. During his tenure there, he led strategic initiatives and partnership efforts between ECMC and other regional providers and payors, including the expansion of a joint venture independent practice association, the divestiture and subsequent reinvestment in a joint venture urgent care chain, the implementation of orthopedic bundled payment programs, and the launch of a de novo specialty pharmacy. He also spearheaded the development of ECMC’s digital health roadmap and custom virtual care platform.

Prior to ECMC, Lukasik spent six years at Chartis, focusing primarily on strategy, partnerships, mergers & acquisitions, and service line development. During his time at Chartis, Lukasik oversaw the strategic and financial due diligence for multiple hospital and physician group acquisitions across both academic medical center and integrated delivery network clients. He also led the development of an innovative joint venture partnership between a large academic medical center and a local community-based health system. Earlier in his career, Lukasik advised life sciences companies and financial services companies on growth strategy.

Lukasik received his Master of Business Administration degree from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) degree with a concentration in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
