Chartis, a comprehensive healthcare advisory firm, today announced that Jim Balabuszko-Reay (B-Reay) joined the firm as a Principal in its Informatics & Technology practice. B-Reay has more than 25 years of experience as a program manager and advisor to healthcare and IT executives. In addition to several leadership roles within prominent healthcare organizations, he previously served Chartis as a consultant for 15 years, focusing on strategic planning and analytics architecture design.

Prior to returning to the firm, B-Reay provided analytics solutions and executive and IT strategic planning for a variety of healthcare organizations, including single hospitals, multisite integrated delivery networks, and regional health cooperatives. He also developed value-based data governance and processes and served in program leadership roles for several Epic EHR implementations.
With a background in application design and data warehousing, B-Reay has developed innovative solutions to convert transaction-based clinical and financial data into strategic information to support management decision-making. He also has delivered strategic and tactical imaging projects in cardiology and radiology.
B-Reay holds a Bachelor of Arts in music composition from Macalester College.
