Steve Hendrick

Senior Partner

Steve Hendrick is a healthcare IT consulting leader with 18 years of experience guiding executives through technology and operational transformation. He partners with health systems to align digital strategy with organizational performance, leveraging deep expertise in implementation, governance, and performance improvement. Known for his strategic foresight and collaborative leadership, Steve helps clients anticipate disruption, strengthen resiliency, and realize the full potential of their technology investments.    

Prior to joining Chartis, Steve held multiple leadership and advisory roles in healthcare consulting and technology services. As Senior Vice President at Healthlink Advisors, he led engagements focused on IT strategy, digital transformation, and organizational resiliency while building and refining consulting methodologies that enhanced delivery consistency and client outcomes. Earlier, as Director at Huron, he oversaw large-scale technology initiatives for major health systems. Steve's career also includes experience with a leading EHR vendor, a Big Four consulting firm, and a large integrated delivery network, giving him a comprehensive perspective on healthcare operations from provider, vendor, and advisory viewpoints.

Steve is an active thought leader in healthcare technology and digital transformation. He has contributed to publications such as Healthlink Advisors’ Perspectives and HealthSystemCIO on topics including IT resilience, digital health strategy, and patient safety during technology downtimes. He has also been featured on This Week Health, where he discussed Epic’s global growth, ambient technology, and the evolving role of EHRs in innovation. Through these contributions, Steve shares practical insights on aligning technology strategy with operational excellence and advancing digital healthcare delivery.

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Information Security from Florida Atlantic University and completed HITECH training at Indian River State College. He has also earned certifications in IT service management, data analytics, and healthcare technology systems.
