Sarah Getachew

Sarah Getachew, MBA, MPH, is a Consultant with Chartis whose eight-year career in the healthcare sector spans community, local, and state levels.  
 
Prior to joining Chartis, Sarah worked for a variety of national public health organizations, including AIDS United and the National Association of County and City Health Officials, where she helped local health departments (LHDs) and community-based organizations (CBOs) develop comprehensive strategic plans and service delivery models in response to a variety of infectious disease outbreaks, including HIV, hepatitis, and the opioid epidemic. 
 
Sarah is a public health advocate and believes that delivering sustainable change can only be achieved through culturally competent, inclusive, and innovative solutions. She is an active member and volunteer for the Young Ethiopian Professionals Network in Washington DC, where she works to promote the health rights and dignity of families and workers who have recently immigrated to the United States. 
 
Sarah received her Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Health from the University of Virginia and her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a minor in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Rice University.
