Rajan (Raj) Patel is a Senior Partner in Financial Transformation at Chartis. He brings deep experience in leading performance improvement engagements for both academic medical centers and community-based healthcare systems and developing and executing growth strategies for performance improvement service lines.
Raj has over 30 years of healthcare experience with academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, community-based health systems, and physician group practices. He has served as a Chief Implementation Officer for performance improvement projects that cover areas such as workforce, supply chain, revenue cycle, physician enterprise, clinical care redesign, and strategy. The margin improvement for performance improvement engagements led by Raj ranged from 60M to 140M. Raj has also re-designed shared services functions and led post-integration efforts for provider mergers.
Prior to joining Chartis, Raj was a Global Client Services Partner and Regional Provider Markets leader for EY and EY-Parthenon, where he led the provider strategic and marketing activities for the East Region. Previously, Rajan was a Managing Director for Huron Consulting where he served as co-leader of the Academic Medical Center market and as Chief Implementation Officer on large scale performance improvement projects.
In addition, Raj is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Raj received his Master’s in Healthcare Management from Boston University and his Bachelor of Arts in Bio-Psychology/Pre-Medicine from Brandeis University.
