Paulo Farqui is an Associate Principal with Chartis’ Informatics & Technology practice. He has 12 years of management consulting experience, supporting strategic and operational initiatives for healthcare delivery organizations. Paulo Farqui has extensive proficiency in digital health and technology implementation, project management, change leadership, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and financial modeling. His current work is centered on providing strategic advisory services to senior healthcare leaders on a wide range of topics, including new care models, systems integration, digital health strategy, and technology service management.
Prior to joining Chartis, Paulo was the Head of Customer Impact for an enterprise analytics startup, with primary responsibilities of overseeing implementation for Provider and Payer customers and serving as account executive. His prior consulting experience includes roles of increasing responsibilities within the Value Transformation Practice at Navigant Consulting (now Guidehouse) in Boston, MA. Paulo was the firm’s primary IT subject matter expert and led multiple performance improvement, M&A, and clinical optimization engagements. Key competencies included IT assessments, stakeholder engagement, industry benchmarking analyses, operating models and governance structure redesign, and program deployment aimed at cost reduction. Paulo also led population health and IT engagements as a Senior Consultant with Clinovations, a division of the Advisory Board Company, in Washington, DC, and was responsible for growing the EHR Optimization Practice.
Paulo is currently the President-elect of the New England chapter of the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and serves as a mentor for early careerists in healthcare information technology. He is a Certified Professional in Health Information & Management Systems and holds advanced certifications in Information Technology and Service Management.
Paulo earned his MBA from the University of Maryland as well as an MSPH and BA in Public Health, both from Johns Hopkins University.
