Mick Coady is a Senior Partner in Digital & Technology Transformation at Chartis, specializing in enterprise resiliency and cybersecurity. With more than 30 years of experience at the intersection of cybersecurity, digital transformation, enterprise resiliency, and technology strategy, Mick advises healthcare organizations and other complex enterprises on managing risk while accelerating innovation. He works closely with executive leadership teams and boards to translate complex cybersecurity, privacy, and technology challenges into practical business, governance, and operational strategies.
Mick's expertise spans cybersecurity, privacy, enterprise risk management, cloud security, identity and access management, digital technology transformation, disaster recovery, cyber resilience, and digital forensics. He has led large-scale initiatives that strengthen organizational resilience, modernize technology environments, and improve security posture across highly regulated industries.
Prior to joining Chartis, Mick served as Chief Technology Officer at Armis and Elisity, where he partnered with executive leadership teams on cyber exposure management, asset intelligence, vulnerability management, microsegmentation, cloud architecture and technology strategy.
Earlier in his career, Mick was a Partner and Practice Leader at PwC, leading healthcare and energy engagements focused on digital technology and innovation. His work included cybersecurity, privacy, digital forensics, managed services, electronic health record technologies, cloud transformation, zero trust architecture, security operations, identity and access management, single sign-on, federation, and multi-factor authentication.
A recognized leader in healthcare cybersecurity, Mick has directed more than 80 HIPAA and GLBA engagements for public and private sector organizations. His experience includes HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, the EU Privacy Directive, GLBA, SOX compliance. Mick has led incident response, digital forensics, enterprise risk management, disaster recovery planning, and security program development.
He has also led global forensic investigations and helped organizations establish incident response capabilities, including governance, policies, training, technology selection, and response team development.
Beyond client work, Mick contributed to the HITRUST Alliance leadership team, helping develop the control objectives for the HITRUST Common Security Framework. He is a frequent national speaker on cybersecurity, privacy, healthcare security, and regulatory compliance topics.
Mick holds numerous industry certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Technology Forensics Investigator (CTFI), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Certified Novell Engineer (CNE), and ITIL Foundation.
Mick earned a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Technology/Professional Pilot with a minor in Business Management from the University of Central Missouri (formerly Central Missouri State University) in Warrensburg, Missouri. He also holds an Associate Degree with Merit in Computer and Business Studies from Dublin Business School.
