Lauren Castro, APN, RN, is a Manager in Digital & Technology Transformation. She brings more than 15 years of healthcare and leadership experience to the firm, particularly in the areas of clinical research operations, clinical trial management, project management, nursing and patient centered care, and management of high functioning teams.
Prior to joining Chartis, Lauren was Director of Clinical Research Operations with a large university and academic medical center. In her role, she led a team of 35+ research professionals and managed internal and external partners and stakeholders, budget development, and operationalizing complex, cross-disciplinary projects.
Lauren’s recent engagements include an IT assessment of a large academic health system with the goal of realigning how the Central IT department can best provide support to the premiere researchers within the organization. Together with a team of Chartis colleagues, Lauren brought her extensive clinical research knowledge and perspective to the project, ensuring that the assessment and recommendations were tailored to both the IT and research stakeholders.
Lauren received her Master of Nursing from the University of Illinois Chicago with honors and Bachelor of Nursing from Saint Louis University.
