David Williams is an Associate Principal in the Informatics & Technology practice at Chartis. David is a senior leader with over 25 years of IT operations management and project management experience. David's hands-on program and project management leadership experience ranges from technology design and implementation to transformation of IT organizations and technology architecture. His recent merger and acquisition (M&A) experience includes evaluating the IT technology environment in support of the due diligence process. He has planned and managed the M&A transition of multiple hospitals and physician practices into acquiring organizations. Most recently, he managed the technology transition program that included replacing the network infrastructure, desktop workstations, and telephone systems for two hospitals and over 50 practices.
He has extensive experience in IT service management and has developed methods to quickly identify and address service delivery weaknesses. He also has experience assessing IT organization and technical performance, conducting security analyses, recommending tools and processes for system management, and identifying where technology can best support care delivery and overall performance improvement. He is a strong leader with the proven ability to bridge technology and business strategies to deliver innovative customer solutions.
In addition, David has led health systems and managed service organizations through the process of creating and executing IT plans aligned with overall clinical and business strategies.
Prior to joining Chartis, David most recently served as the Director of Healthcare IT Outsourcing CSC providing IT solutions across a variety health systems. David was a practice leader at First Consulting Group where he was responsible for the Technology Management Services practice.
David earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida with dual emphasis in business administration and secondary education.
