Today, The Chartis Group, a leading healthcare advisory and analytics firm, announced that Barry Waiter recently joined the firm as a Director in the Performance practice.

Waiter has more than 30 years of healthcare consulting experience leading the delivery of organizational transformation services for integrated health systems, academic medical centers, and community hospitals. He is a recognized expert in healthcare performance improvement and collaborates with healthcare provider clients to achieve and sustain operational and financial improvements through cost management, revenue enhancement, and merger integration solutions.
Waiter has a proven track record of driving results for clients through financial turnarounds, enterprise-wide operating margin improvement, enterprise-wide operational transformation, workforce management optimization, supply chain transformation, corporate services and revenue cycle optimization, clinical transformation and post-merger integration planning, and implementation services.
Prior to joining Chartis, Waiter was a Managing Director at Huron where he led large, integrated performance improvement projects, as well as workforce management engagements for healthcare providers. At Huron, he served as a methodology leader for workforce management assessments, cost transformation, and corporate services. Previously, he was a Director at Navigant (now part of Guidehouse), where he also led large performance improvement and workforce management engagements for health systems, academic medical centers, and community hospitals and served as the workforce management practice leader.
Waiter earned a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Health Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).
