R. Christopher Regan
R. Christopher Regan is a founding partner and Managing Director of The Chartis Group. He is a leader of the firm’s Strategy practice with a particular focus on health system strategy and mergers and affiliations within academic health centers and regional health systems. He has a wide range of experience in the healthcare field, having directed over 100 consulting engagements for provider clients across the country during his 30-year career.
Prior to co-founding The Chartis Group in 2001, Mr. Regan served as President of H-Works, the consulting division of The Advisory Board Company. Before joining the Advisory Board Company, Mr. Regan spent fourteen years at CSC Healthcare and its predecessor, APM Incorporated, where he was as one of twelve senior partners leading the firm’s healthcare consulting practice. While at CSC/APM he played an integral role in growing the firm from 30 people to over 300 at the time of his departure.
Mr. Regan is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, forums and board retreats. He served for 9 years as a trustee of Lawrence Hospital Center in Bronxville, NY and is a current Trustee of Ascension Health Ventures and Hamilton College. Mr. Regan's consulting experience is supplemented by six years as an executive in the financial services and maritime industries.
Mr. Regan holds a Master of Business Administration in finance and accounting from New York University’s Graduate School of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Hamilton College.
