Brian Thygesen is a Principal at The Chartis Group and leader of our Pediatrics practice. Mr. Thygesen has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare serving as a strategic advisor to leading academic health systems, children’s hospitals and community-based delivery networks. Mr. Thygesen’s primary areas of focus are enterprise strategy formulation, digital care service expansion, physician alignment and integration, merger and affiliation assistance as well as development of accountable care organizations.
Mr. Thygesen’s recent project experience includes leading the development of a multi-year enterprise strategy for a US News & World Report Honor Roll Children’s Hospital on the West Coast, which required the creation of a roadmap for extending physical and virtual services to outlying communities. He has also supported several children’s hospital clients in several recent partnership discussions, including the development of a pediatric cancer partnership, developing the underlying value proposition and objectives, as well as detailed design and implementation plans.
Before joining The Chartis Group, Mr. Thygesen worked as a senior manager for the healthcare practice of a global consulting firm focused on strategic and strategic capital asset planning for healthcare providers. Mr. Thygesen also has experience managing clinical portfolios for two major pharmaceutical companies where he worked closely with physicians to develop and implement sales and marketing presentations for practicing providers.
Mr. Thygesen holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of California, San Diego.
