Sydney Howland has over 7 years of experience consulting healthcare providers with operational, financial, and clinical performance improvement. Her experience spans project management across multi-disciplinary solutions, inclusive of workforce management, care model optimization, and integration planning.
Prior to joining Chartis, Sydney was an Associate Director at Guidehouse (formerly known as Navigant Consulting). There she led the project management office and financial benefit tracking process for numerous large scale turnaround projects driving rapid cost reduction efforts for her clients. She managed the successful implementation of seven workstreams resulting in $15M in margin improvement for an independent children’s hospital. Sydney also designed a system-wide labor management system, including position control and productivity management, for a financially distressed hospital system in the greater Philadelphia area. Her analytics experience includes labor benchmarking, perioperative throughput models, and span of control analyses.
Prior to Guidehouse, Sydney worked at Triage Consulting Group (now CloudMed) where she led revenue cycle improvement projects for many hospital clients. She designed and built contract models to identify opportunities for increased reimbursement and CDM updates as part of comprehensive zero-balance underpayment reviews.
Sydney received her bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from Duke University.
