Sarah Mitschke

Associate Partner

Sarah is an Associate Partner in Clinical Transformation at Chartis. She has over 15 years of healthcare experience with the last six in management consulting. She has partnered with clients across large health systems, academic medical centers, regional hospitals, and safety net hospitals to assess operations and design and execute data-driven, measurable improvements. Her experience has spanned perioperative services, inpatient throughput and LOS management, ambulatory practice operations, and clinical integration.

Prior to joining Chartis, Sarah was a team member at Huron where she worked on performance improvement engagements and helped clients realize financial and qualitative benefit through improving OR utilization and access, optimizing case management departments and post-acute transitions of care, and implementing key performance metrics dashboards. Before Huron, Sarah worked for Duke University Hospital where she led operational improvement projects across the enterprise, managed PAT clinics, and developed perioperative medicine clinics.

Sarah is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and has spoken at Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and Evidence-Based Perioperative Medicine (EBPOM) national meetings on topics related to perioperative services.

Sarah received her Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her B.A. in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma. She completed an administrative fellowship at Duke University Hospital and a graduate administrative internship at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
