A former clinician, healthcare executive, and management consultant, he specializes in digital transformation, enterprise technology strategy, Epic implementation and optimization, governance, informatics, and organizational change.
Throughout his career, Nate has advised and led healthcare organizations ranging from integrated delivery networks to multihospital health systems, driving large-scale transformation initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, and long-term sustainability. He is recognized for helping healthcare organizations balance innovation with practical execution, leveraging artificial intelligence, automation, and digital transformation capabilities to create measurable clinical, operational, and financial value. He bridges clinical, operational, and technology perspectives to help healthcare leaders navigate complex technology investment decisions. His experience spans enterprise governance, Epic strategy, application portfolio management, technology modernization, and performance improvement, with a focus on aligning technology investments to organizational strategy and measurable outcomes.
Prior to joining Chartis, Nate served as Chief Information Officer for Conemaugh Health System, where he led enterprise technology strategy, informatics, and application delivery across a four-hospital health system. Previously, he served as the Vice President of Applications for Allegheny Health Network, overseeing enterprise application strategy and IT operations across 13 hospitals and more than 500 ambulatory locations. He also held leadership positions at UPMC and consulting roles with Deloitte Consulting and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young.
Nate earned a Master of Business Administration in Health Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Physician Assistant degree from Duquesne University, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Duquesne University.
