Lisa Keane is a Senior Partner in Strategic Transformation. She is primarily focused on academic health system projects. Prior to joining Chartis, she had an extensive career working in the healthcare sector, including serving in senior executive roles at several of the nation’s leading academic medical centers.
Lisa was formerly the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, Chief Operating Officer for the Brigham and Women’s Physicians Organization, Executive Vice President for Clinical Practice and Business Development at University of Chicago Medicine, and Administrator of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania. She has also served as Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and President of Wayne State University Physician Group. In her various roles, Lisa has had responsibility for directing the business and operations for groups of up to 1,000 physicians, including developing the strategies, operational and financial plans, and organizational structures to support these enterprises.
Throughout her career, Lisa was heavily involved in the leadership of several professional organizations, serving as the Chair of the Association of American Medical College’s (AAMC) Group on Faculty Practice, President of the Academic Practice Plan Directors group, Chair of the University HealthSystem Consortium’s Group Practice Council, and member of the AAMC Advisory Panel on Advancing the Academic Health System for the Future.
Lisa has a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Accounting and is a certified public accountant (retired status).
