Jeff Jung is an Associate Partner in Financial Transformation at Chartis. Jeff has over 5 years of experience advising healthcare providers on operations transformations and alignment. His experience spans project management across mutli-disciplinary solutions, in addition to specialization in workforce optimization.
Having worked with small rural community hospitals and 100+ national hospital systems, he has a deep understanding of the complex and differing problems that providers are facing. His most recent experience includes evaluating the workforce management maturity of a regional system, while constructing a committee to manage their newly adopted charter, policies, and procedures. These documents provide guidance on how an organization should assess their flexing, scheduling, recruitment practices, accountability and budgeting. In addition, he led efforts to implement over $120 million in savings across the system based on redesigning their clinical operations to align with workforce practices. This reduction in cost was enabled by the introduction of position control and aligning their staffing to demand based on historical and predicted volume patterns.
Prior to joining Chartis, Jeff served as a Director for Premier Inc.’s Advisory Services, leading the development and growth of the Workforce practice. During his tenure at Premier, he helped to standardize the delivery across the practice and integrated the IT services and offerings to holistically manage performance improvement. In addition, Jeff served as an Associate Director at Guidehouse (f.k.a. Navigant Consulting) where led engagements within their Performance Improvement and Workforce Innovation practice. This included the partnership with a large health system to build a business intelligence (BI) platform to predict and monitor end to end workforce management (e.g., scheduling, talent acquisition, etc.) in a centralized and standardized model.
Jeff received his Master of Engineering Management from Dartmouth College and his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University. In addition to his degrees, he is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
