Jamelle Skelton, RN, is a Senior Consultant in Clinical Transformation. She brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience to the firm in the areas of medical surgical and cardiac nursing, nursing leadership, and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining Chartis, Jamelle was Director of Regulatory and Standards at OSF Healthcare, an integrated health system of 16 hospitals throughout Illinois and Michigan, with over 200 medical group offices, and home health and home care services. She led regulatory readiness and response activities, including preparatory hospital mock surveys, completion of risk assessments, and creating post-regulatory survey plans of correction. Jamelle also co-directed the health system’s Workplace Violence Prevention and Management Program and was responsible for policy governance.

Jamelle’s recent engagements include collaborating with Chartis team members and hospital leadership at a large, state psychiatric hospital in the Northwest to provide immediate regulatory compliance support and an ongoing compliance and high reliability gap analysis. Jamelle actively participated in the project through the completion of the gap analysis and presentation of observations to key stakeholders. As a core team member, Jamelle supported the initiation of a regulatory response and reliability infrastructure assessment at an acute care Level III Trauma center in central California. Here she engaged with hospital executives, frontline leaders, and staff to understand the current opportunities and strengths of the organization and supported early stages of Emergency Department process efficiencies spearheaded by the Chartis team. Next, Jamelle transitioned to working with a short-term acute care hospital/regional health center in Southeast Iowa, where she assumed on-site project management and leadership of the consultant team. The Chartis team provided immediate regulatory survey support and assisted the organization in identifying opportunities to improve high reliability and regulatory compliance. Jamelle worked closely with hospital leadership to reignite processes to ensure the ongoing oversight of quality, safety and regulatory opportunities and initiatives to position the organization favorably for continued progress towards high reliability and regulatory survey success.

Jamelle is a member of the American Nurses Association and the National Association for Healthcare Quality.

Jamelle received her Master of Science in Nursing Administration and Leadership from Aspen University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing.
