Jai Patel

Associate Partner

Jai Patel is an Associate Partner in Clinical Transformation at Chartis, bringing more than 15 years of healthcare experience spanning management consulting and health system strategy and operations. He specializes in procedural and perioperative operations, throughput and access optimization, ambulatory strategy, workforce productivity, and physician-health system alignment. Jai is recognized for partnering with clinical and operational leaders to design and implement data-driven, measurable improvements that balance growth, efficiency, and sustainability across care settings.

Jai has worked with a wide range of organizations, including academic medical centers, large integrated health systems, regional hospitals, and private medical groups, to realize meaningful financial and operational performance improvement. His experience includes optimizing procedural and ambulatory access, improving OR utilization and governance, benchmarking and improving workforce productivity, and aligning ambulatory growth strategies with procedural and surgical capacity planning.

Prior to joining Chartis, Jai was a Director at Huron, where he partnered with clients to assess operations and lead the design and execution of transformation initiatives across procedural and ambulatory environments. Before Huron, Jai served as Director of Perioperative and Procedural Operations at Emory Healthcare, where he led operational improvement efforts including block management, perioperative governance, supply chain optimization, capital planning, and the development of an enterprise robotic surgery resource strategy. His role also included leading operating room construction and renovation projects from planning and design through project management and go-live.

Across both consulting and provider leadership roles, Jai has designed and implemented Value Analysis Committees to drive clinical engagement, cost transparency, and standardization. His ambulatory experience spans multiple surgical specialties, where he has developed focused growth strategies that thoughtfully balance ambulatory expansion with procedural and operating room capacity to support system-wide performance.

Jai is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the Georgia chapter of ACHE. He holds Lean Six Sigma and LUMA Human-Centered Design certifications and earned his Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University, Robinson College of Business.
