Glenda Owen is a Partner in Financial Transformation. She is a senior healthcare financial professional with over 30 years of strategic and operational experience in hospital and ambulatory/physician practice revenue cycle across integrated healthcare delivery networks and academic health systems. She has provided strategic direction and operational leadership in the areas of Patient Access, Health Information Management, Patient Financial Services, Revenue Integrity, and Revenue Cycle integration and performance optimization. She has a proven track record of leading organizations through technology implementations and financial process improvements that resulted in net revenue lift, cash acceleration and improved cash performance, and targeted performance improvements and optimization. Her work experiences have included academic medical centers, multi-facility/multi-regional Integrated Delivery Networks, pediatric facilities, and behavioral health.
Glenda’s recent work has focused on leading revenue cycle performance optimizations, developing the corporate revenue cycle strategy to achieve leading practice performance, and advising on value realization in revenue cycle consolidations and integrations.
Prior to joining Chartis, Glenda served as Vice President of Finance/Revenue for the Seton Healthcare Family in Austin, Texas.
Glenda is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), and is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) and Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). She has presented to HFMA and other professional organizations on ICD-10, charity care, financial implications of the industry transition from inpatient to ambulatory care, and clinical documentation integrity.
Glenda is an honors graduate of Texas Woman’s University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in medical records administration/health information management and a minor in business.
