The Chartis Group, a leading provider of comprehensive advisory services and analytics to the healthcare industry, announced that Todd Fitz recently joined the firm as a Director in the Private Equity Advisory and Strategy practices.
“In today’s incredibly fast-moving healthcare private equity landscape, investors and platform companies are laser focused on identifying and pursuing pathways that rapidly and sustainably create value. Finding the right partner to chart a course that drives strategic growth while optimizing platform performance has never been more important,” said Eric Mayeda, Director and Private Equity Advisory Leader, The Chartis Group. “We’re thrilled to welcome Todd Fitz to our team, as he brings an invaluable combination of strategy, finance, and operational experience to deliver innovative yet practical solutions for healthcare organizations that range from investor-backed physician platforms to large, not-for-profit health systems.”
Fitz’s career has spanned over 25 years, 20 of which have been spent in healthcare consulting. His experience includes advising leading healthcare providers, universities and AMCs, early-stage growth companies, physician groups, government entities, and payors in the areas of strategic planning, partnerships, physician enterprise strategy, performance improvement, and merger integration.
“When I embarked on my healthcare career many years ago, I was excited to help drive meaningful change, impacting the health of individuals through thoughtful strategy and innovative approaches to solving industry challenges,” Fitz said. “That fundamental goal is as strong as ever and I am excited to join Chartis — a firm whose priority is driving positive impact through comprehensive services delivered by some of the best and brightest around.”
Prior to joining The Chartis Group, Fitz was a Managing Director at Kaufman Hall. He also led HOK’s Healthcare Consulting practice and Sg2’s international consulting group, and he held consulting roles at Huron Consulting Group and Ernst & Young. Prior to his consulting career, Fitz held operations and finance management positions at Rush Health (Chicago).
Fitz received an M.S. in Health Systems Management from Rush University, Chicago, and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is an associate faculty member at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and an instructor in the Health Systems Management program at Rush University.
