Today, The Chartis Group, a leading provider of comprehensive advisory services and analytics to the healthcare industry, announced Robert Kirk has joined the firm as a Principal in the Performance practice.
Kirk has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare operations and management consulting focused on the provider enterprise. Throughout his career, he has delivered strategy and performance improvement expertise to academic medical centers and their faculty practice plans, community-based providers, integrated delivery networks, provider organizations, and payors for transformational results.

Prior to joining The Chartis Group, Kirk was an independent consultant focused on business transformation that positioned clients for digital adoption, scalability, competitive advantage, and long-term success. Kirk also served as a Senior Director at Huron Consulting Group, where he drove millions of dollars in financial and operational benefits for numerous healthcare organizations, medical groups, and payor entities as a physician enterprise and service line optimization leader.
During a previous tenure as Director at Navigant Consulting, Kirk focused on finance and operations, revenue cycle management, developing an integrated delivery organization, a performance-based compensation program, and provider alignment strategy as well as serving as the Physician Enterprise Solutions (PES) representative for the firm’s quality program. Over his 30+ year career, he has also performed as a Provider Network President, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Division Vice President with repeated successes growing and transforming provider organizations in various healthcare settings.
Kirk is a frequent presenter on the high-performing physician enterprise. He is Board Certified and a Fellow of American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) and serves on the Certification Exam Commission. He holds memberships in the Medical Group Management Association, Healthcare Financial Management Association, and National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants.
Kirk received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from East Tennessee State University. He completed a Graduate Credential of Advanced Studies of Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management at University of Minnesota.
