Today, The Chartis Group, a leading provider of comprehensive advisory services and analytics to the healthcare industry, announced that Maura Conway recently joined the firm as a Principal in the Revenue Cycle Practice.
“The remarkable impact of the pandemic on the healthcare delivery model cannot be understated with simultaneous calls to both adapt and improve performance, and this includes all components of the revenue cycle,” said Kevin Ormand, Director and Revenue Cycle Practice Leader, The Chartis Group. “We’re thrilled to have Maura join our team. She brings a wonderful balance of subject matter expertise, people leadership, and a pragmatic approach tying together innovation with practical solutions to further build our reputation as an unrivaled, objective, and forward-thinking partner in transforming the revenue cycle and delivering an ROI that helps our clients materially improve healthcare.”
Conway brings 18 years of experience in healthcare, 15 of those in revenue cycle consulting, to the firm. Her previous work with academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, healthcare systems, medical groups, and post-acute care organizations includes patient access redesign and financial clearance center implementation, denials management, accounts receivable (AR) strategy and business office / central business office (CBO) redesign, and EMR optimization. Additionally, Conway has extensive experience performing buy-side diligence of revenue cycle management (RCM) operations for private equity-sponsored transactions; she has also led post-deal opportunity assessments and performance improvement activities aimed at rapid value creation in healthcare provider portfolio companies.
"In joining The Chartis Group, I am excited to be part of a firm whose strong strategy, performance, and revenue cycle competencies come together and are leveraged to solve complex problems and improve financial and operational outcomes for our clients,” said Conway.
Prior to joining Chartis, Conway was a Managing Director and co-lead of the revenue cycle solution at a global management consulting firm, where she oversaw large-scale revenue cycle transformations. In addition, Conway led RCM operational diligence and post-deal value creation engagements for private equity clients. Her diligence expertise was highlighted in the Bloomberg Law publication “Home Health Sector Due Diligence” (October 2020).
Conway received her Master of Science from Georgetown University and Bachelor of Science in integrated science preprofessional studies from the University of Notre Dame.
