Chartis, a comprehensive healthcare advisory firm, today announced that Dennis Weaver, MD, has joined the firm as a Director in the Strategy practice and leader of its Value-Based Care offerings.
Dr. Weaver has more than 30 years of experience leading clinical and business teams to achieve breakthrough top- and bottom-line results. With a focus on value-based care, he has brought an entrepreneurial approach, strategic vision, and innovative solutions to numerous government, provider, technology, and payer organizations.

Prior to joining Chartis, Weaver served as Chief Clinical Officer of Oscar Health, a $6 billion+ healthcare company, where he spearheaded the first multi-state, virtual, value-based, primary care medical practice in the country. He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at The Advisory Board Company where he led critical value-based care engagements that grew aligned provider networks for 10 of the largest healthcare systems in the country.
Through his work, Weaver has championed health equity to reduce disparities and improve health outcomes for underserved populations. He was selected as a national population health expert for testimony to the Federal Trade Commission.
Weaver earned an M.D. degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, an M.B.A. from Washington University, and a B.S. in Basic Sciences from the United States Air Force Academy where he was recognized as a Distinguished Graduate. He is also a Certified Physician Executive and Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
