Chartis, a comprehensive healthcare advisory firm, today announced that Melissa Li-Ng, MD, MBA, FACP, has joined the firm as a Partner in Clinical Transformation. Li-Ng has spent nearly two decades as a practicing endocrinologist and the last 12 years also serving as a healthcare executive focused on strategy, clinical operations, and performance improvement.  

As part of Chartis’ Clinical Transformation team, Li-Ng will advise hospitals, physician groups, payers, academic institutions, and community organizations on how to develop transformative approaches to improve care delivery, health outcomes, financial performance, and patient experience.

Before joining Chartis, Li-Ng was the Physician Lead in the Strategy Office at Cleveland Clinic, developing strategic plans for enterprise collaborations. She also served as the Medical Director within the organization’s International Operations division, holding leadership roles within Cleveland Clinic’s facilities in Shanghai and Abu Dhabi. As the Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMIO) at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, she strategized continuous improvement projects to promote innovation, efficiency, and patient safety. In addition, she served as Medical Director in Medical Operations, developing enterprise-wide programs including the organization’s physician advisor program, remote patient monitoring program for chronic conditions, Hospital at Home, and leading community health projects across Northeast Ohio. She also led the Endocrinology and Metabolism Institute as interim Institute Chair, directing over 140 employees in the Endocrinology and Endocrine Surgery departments in Northeast Ohio.

Melissa graduated from Columbia University and Stony Brook School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at NYU Langone Health and her endocrinology fellowship at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital.  Melissa also received her Master of Business Administration from Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
