Jennifer Skar is an Associate Principal with Chartis and a member of the firm’s Strategy practice in the Academic Medicine segment. With more than 15 years of experience as a leader in academic medicine, Jennifer has expertise across the tripartite mission in clinical strategy and operations, provider economics, academic affiliations, programmatic development, and health system dynamics.
Prior to joining Chartis, Jennifer served as the inaugural chief business administrator for the Department of Internal Medicine at the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin, where she had responsibility for strategy, business development, finance, and operations. In addition, Jennifer held a number of important roles at the University of Minnesota Medical School, including Chief of Staff for University of Minnesota Health, with experience in strategic planning, department and faculty practice administration, communications, faculty affairs, and board relations.
Jennifer received her Master of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, and her Bachelor of Science in food science from the University of Minnesota.
