Jeff Weiss

Managing Partner and Leader, Strategic Transformation

Jeff Weiss is a Managing Partner and a Co-Leader of the Strategic Transformation line of business at Chartis. Jeff brings close to 30 years of prior consulting experience focused on helping clients build and launch new businesses, implement strategy and manage organizational change, redesign organizations and restructure board governance, develop and manage strategic partnerships, engage in post-merger integration, effect internal alignment and manage cross-departmental and cross-functional collaboration, and negotiate complex agreements. 

Prior to joining Chartis, Jeff was the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Mass General Brigham, overseeing strategy, system transformation, clinical partnerships and M&A, and diversified businesses. He previously served as President of Lesley University and, before that, as a Partner and co-founder of Vantage Partners, where he led its Healthcare and IT practices. Prior to that, Jeff was a Partner at Conflict Management, Inc., and co-founded Conflict Management Group (now part of Mercy Corps), both growing out of the Harvard Negotiation Project. A frequent contributor to Harvard Business Review, Jeff also authored the HBR Guide to Negotiating.

Jeff taught for over a decade at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business and at the U.S. Military Academy. He co-founded the West Point Negotiation Project, and lectures annually at the Army War College. He was awarded West Point’s Apgar Award for innovation in teaching and the Army’s Commander’s and Outstanding Civilian Service Medals.

He holds a BA in Government from Dartmouth and a JD from Harvard Law School.
