Chartis welcomes Chief Product and Technology Officer Sara Vaezy

Vaezy specializes in transforming healthcare delivery through the development of innovative technology platforms and strategic partnerships.

Chartis, a leading healthcare advisory firm, welcomes Sara Vaezy to the firm as Chief Product and Technology Officer. With more than two decades of healthcare advisory and health system leadership experience, Vaezy is a recognized industry visionary. She brings a unique vantage point having worked at the intersection of healthcare delivery, policy, health services research, technology incubation, commercialization, new company creation, and consumerism.

Prior to Chartis, Vaezy served as Executive Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer for Providence, where she led the organization’s approach to artificial intelligence (AI)—including strategy, governance and guardrail, infrastructure, and product development, as well as responsible adoption and use-case prioritization. Throughout her decade-long tenure, she established Providence as a leader and partner in the digital health ecosystem, collaborating with over 150 health systems, venture capitalists, industry analysts, health futurists and visionaries, and digital health organizations.

“AI will only transform healthcare if it’s designed end-to-end—connecting data, technology, processes and workflows, and clinical and financial realities. I’ve seen what it takes to make that work in practice, and I’m excited to do it again with a firm so deeply grounded in healthcare,” said Vaezy.

Vaezy serves as a board director for AARP Services Inc. and the National Committee for Quality Assurance. She is a clinical faculty member of the University of Washington School of Public Health and a former faculty member of the Harvard Executive Education program. Vaezy has received numerous awards and honors, including the Modern Health Innovators Award (2024) and being named a Rock Health Top 50 in Digital Health Luminary (2022). A frequent industry contributor, she has been published in Harvard Business Review, Geekwire, Forbes, and the New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst, among others.

At Chartis, Vaezy will be working alongside the firm’s leaders, helping to drive innovation and new product development across the enterprise, and bringing end-to-end transformation solutions to Chartis and the firm’s clients across data, analytics, and product development.

“Technology, specifically AI, is rapidly changing healthcare delivery,” said Ken Graboys, Chartis co-Founder and CEO. “Sara is a leader in the field who will be instrumental in helping Chartis and its clients stay on the vanguard. She brings unmatched experience, expertise, and understanding to both the opportunities and challenges that harnessing these technologies can address. She understands that healthcare transformation only works when technology is designed for healthcare and all its unique clinical, operational, and economic complexities. Sara and her team will be bringing to market new solutions for healthcare organizations that work, at scale, for the long-term.”
