Robert Schwartz, MD
Robert Schwartz is a Principal with The Chartis Group in the Informatics and Technology practice. He has more than 34 years of healthcare experience in: academics, research, administration, operations, governance, physician relationship strategies, quality initiatives, change management, clinical decision support and process improvement. Dr. Schwartz is a triple boarded and accomplished physician and administrator with 26 years as a practicing emergency physician and over 20 years in progressive leadership roles.
Before joining The Chartis Group, Dr. Schwartz served as Physician Advisor with Dearborn Advisors, where he focused on: governance design, decision support analysis, analytics, documentation, data exchange and physician adoption. Prior to that, Dr. Schwartz was Vice President and Medical Director for University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Office of Referring Physician Relations. In that role, he led physician relations initiatives centered around business development, relationship building and quality of care improvements.
Dr. Schwartz received his Master of Public Health from Yale University, his Doctor of Medicine from University of Connecticut School of Medicine and his Bachelor of Science from Fairfield University.
