Anneliese Gerland

Senior Vice President, Consulting Operations

Anneliese Gerland is Senior Vice President of Consulting Operations. She leads practice operations and BD and strategic sales enablement, supporting execution against the firm’s growth agenda and driving improvements to the firm’s operational effectiveness and efficiency. She also oversees the firm’s research, analytics, and rural health teams. Anneliese is heavily involved in the firm’s efforts to develop comprehensive solutions that enable our clients to transform performance and meaningfully advance their organizational position. Her consulting experience includes strategic planning, merger and acquisition assessment, organizational and physician alignment, value-based care preparedness, and ambulatory operations work for leading health systems and academic medical centers nationwide. 

Prior to joining Chartis, Anneliese was a Research Analyst with the Center for Studying Health System Change (HSC), a non-partisan health policy think tank in Washington, D.C., where she conducted research on the United States health care system, with a particular emphasis on issues facing healthcare providers. Her experience also includes completion of a year- long fellowship at an international non-governmental organization in Kigali, Rwanda, where she worked on public health issues including HIV/AIDS and child and maternal health. 

Anneliese has authored numerous articles, issue briefs and white papers on topics related to healthcare delivery, policy, and payment innovation. In addition, Ms. Gerland serves on the Board of Directors for Onpoint Health Data, a nonprofit company focused on delivering independent, reliable and insightful health data solutions to clients nationwide. She also serves on the Board of The Opportunity Alliance, a Community Action Agency providing integrated community-based and clinical programs serving more than 20,000 people annually throughout the state of Maine. 

Anneliese holds a Master of Business Administration from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University where she was named a Siebel Scholar. She also holds an A.B. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
