Anneliese Gerland is a Principal and Senior Practice Area Manager with The Chartis Group. Ms. Gerland is a leader in the Strategy practice area focused on helping healthcare organizations navigate the transition to value-based care and payment models. She supports the development of delivery system transformation solutions, including integration across the care continuum and economic transformation. Ms. Gerland's consulting experience includes strategic planning, merger and acquisition assessment, organizational and physician alignment, accountable care preparedness, and ambulatory operations work for leading health systems and academic medical centers nationwide.

Prior to joining The Chartis Group, Ms. Gerland was a Research Analyst with the Center for Studying Health System Change (HSC), a non-partisan health policy think tank in Washington, D.C., where she conducted research on the United States health care system, with a particular emphasis on issues facing healthcare providers. Ms. Gerland has published articles in Health Affairs, a premier peer-reviewed health policy journal, as well as policy issue briefs on topics ranging from nurse staffing to health information technology adoption and use. Her experience also includes completion of a year- long fellowship at an international non-governmental organization in Kigali, Rwanda, where she worked on public health issues including HIV/AIDS and child and maternal health.

Ms. Gerland holds a Master of Business Administration from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University where she was named a Siebel Scholar. She also holds an A.B. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
