Alison Shipley is a Principal with The Chartis Group in the firm’s Revenue Cycle Practice. Ms. Shipley is a healthcare industry leader with fifteen years of experience improving efficiencies in healthcare delivery through clinical operations, revenue cycle improvement and healthcare information technology (HIT) implementation. She has worked with payors, large hospitals, academic medical centers and physician practice clients.
Ms. Shipley has experience in revenue cycle transformation, physician practice management, and mergers and acquisitions across industry sectors. Her expertise has been leveraged as a mentor for senior revenue cycle leadership and has served in interim revenue cycle leadership roles. She is skilled at supporting transitions to new organizational structures and adoption of new processes and technologies to enhance revenue cycle performance.
In addition, Ms. Shipley serves on the educational committee for the New York Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). Ms. Shipley has been asked to speak at industry events, including those for HFMA and FLCPA.
Prior to joining The Chartis Group, Ms. Shipley was a Director in PwC’s Revenue Performance Management practice. She has also managed client accounts and implementations for athenahealth’s RCM and EHR solutions.
Ms. Shipley received her Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with a concentration in health policy and financing, and received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Tulane University.
