Jon Freedman is an Associate Principal with The Chartis Group in Digital Transformation. In this role, Mr. Freedman works with clients to transform their digital presence to meet the growing demands of the healthcare community. His focus is on connecting enhanced consumer and patient digital experiences with alternative care delivery modalities and digitally optimized operational workflows.
While at Chartis, Mr. Freedman has consulted with regional health systems to devise and implement digital transformation strategies, with a particular focus on the digital consumer experience. This work included building understanding around how digital solutions align to and enhance broader enterprise strategies, defining required investment and anticipated benefits, and establishing organizational requirements to fully realize transformational goals. He has advised multispecialty practices on how a transformed clinical operating model might fully leverage digital capabilities that optimize clinical care and patient preference and access. Mr. Freedman has also provided subject matter expertise to a range of health systems to evaluate digital capabilities and strategic plans.
Prior to joining Chartis, Mr. Freedman was the leader of the Digital Product Solutions team in Kaiser Permanente’s Digital Experience Center for over five years. In this role, he collaborated with care delivery, line of business, regional, marketing, and technology partners to articulate multiple strategic business cases and execute large enterprise programs that transformed and scaled KP’s digital ecosystem. Utilizing data, technology, and human-centered design thinking practices to create value and optimize efficiencies, Mr. Freedman led the delivery of personalized, contextualized, and engaging web and mobile experiences to KP's consumers, members, and patients.
Mr. Freedman also spent over three years at Humana, where he was the Director of Digital Solutions in Humana's Digital Center of Excellence. At Humana, Mr. Freedman was responsible for digital product management for web and mobile capabilities, user experience (including interaction and visual design and content strategy), business analysis, and conversion rate optimization. Mr. Freedman also led large-scale, multi-year enterprise-wide initiatives designed to accelerate Humana's digital capabilities and leadership in the payer space.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Freedman worked in the education space for over 17 years. Throughout that period, Mr. Freedman worked with large school districts across the United States to design, develop, and implement a variety of digital and non-digital products in complex, customized environments.
Mr. Freedman earned a Master of Arts degree in History from New York University. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he graduated cum laude and with College Honors.
