Dan Coate is a Director with The Chartis Group and Practice Lead for Informatics and Technology. Mr. Coate has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare strategy, performance improvement and information technology. He advises clients on IT strategy and special studies, and leads and manages large-scale process and technology programs.
Mr. Coate co-founded and served as a Principal at Aspen Advisors, a top healthcare IT advisory services firm, before it joined The Chartis Group in 2014. Prior to Aspen Advisors, Mr. Coate leveraged his expertise in both U.S. and global project start-up and team development, relocating from the U.S. to Bangalore, India in 2004 and 2005, to develop global capabilities to support U.S. healthcare technology and business process needs. Mr. Coate has also served as Vice President in the publicly traded healthcare information technology professional services firm, First Consulting Group, Inc. (now CSC Healthcare) and in the Healthcare Consulting Division of accounting firm, Arthur Andersen & Co., Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).
Mr. Coate earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from University of Pittsburgh's Katz Graduate School of Business, graduating with honors, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
